HSLC-2018 likely from third week of Feb

Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM) would be conducting the High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC) 2018 from the third week of February, secretary of the board Akham Joykumar Singh has informed.
BSEM examination controller Laishram Phulchand, who had handled the duties of board secretary during its vacancy, handed over the charge to the newly appointed Board secretary Akham Joykumar Singh at the secretary's office here, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Joykumar informed that schools are a turning point in a student's life. Stating that he will focus in all aspects related to education, keeping in mind the Board's rules and regulation, he also appealed for cooperation from the public in doing the same.
He further informed that HSLC examination for this year would be conducted from the third week of February, while adding that it would be a bit hasty to reveal the exact date at this juncture.
Assuring that the exam dates would be released soon, he also remarked that examination of most subjects would be conducted before Yaoshang festival, with one or two subjects to be held after the celebrations.
Joykumar also assured that he would try to resolve certain issues that have been faced by the Board and added that he would try to include relevant information about the history of Manipur in the syllabus, if it sounds reasonable.
