NSCN-IM discusses talk status with NGBF

IMPHAL, 4th Sep: Issues pertaining to Naga political affairs and the need to come together all the warring Naga political groups were discussed at length during a consultative meet attended by leaders of Government of the Peoples’ Republic of Nagalim (GPRN/NSCN-IM) and Nagaland Gaon Buras Federation (NGBF) on Friday.
The GPRN/NSCN-IM team led by chairman Q Tuccu and vice-chairman Tongmeth Wangnao took part in the consultative meet held at Naithu Resort in Dimapur (Nagaland) while the NGBF team was led by its president Shahlem Konyak and general secretary Shikuto Zalipu, a statement of GPRN/NSCN-IM informed.
Appreciating each other’s efforts and contribution towards finding a political settlement for the Naga people, the meet resolved to strengthen the on-going Indo-Naga peace talk and seek for an honourable, acceptable, early and lasting solution. Both the sides also agreed that the cry for reconciliation and unity within the Naga family must be respected and hence the effort to come together all the Naga political groups should be pursued with all seriousness in the larger political interest of the Naga people and her posterity, the statement added.
