Homecare of negative QC inmates allowed

IMPHAL, 18th Aug: Inmates of quarantine centres (QC) can now stay at home by observing strict home isolation for requisite number of days if tested negative even if any of their colleagues in quarantine centre test positive for COVID-19. An order in this regard has been issued by director (health) K Rajo Tuesday. As per SOPs issued by state health department on August 15, COVID-19 patients with asymptomatic and mild cases can do home isolation. Accordingly, inmates of institutional, community and paid quarantines will be discharged if tested negative even if any person staying at the same facility tests positive. However, remaining quarantine period shall be completed strictly at home while positive inmates will be given treatment as per laid down SOPs, the order mentioned.
