STAFF REPORTER
IMPHAL, 13th Aug: As did every year, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) observed 129th Patriots’ Day at Congress Bhawan Thursday.
CLP leader O Ibobi Singh, AICC CWC member Gaikhangam, MPCC president M Okendro, Congress MLAs and office bearers of MPCC attended the observance function.
Addressing party workers and leaders, M Okendro said that challenges to territorial integrity of the state needs collective effort for tackling and today’s generation should not forget the supreme sacrifices made by forefathers of the land for keeping intact sovereignty of the land.
The state is currently facing some serious issues including Framework Agreement of the peace talks between Government of India and NSCN-IM and delimitation which could spark conflict among indigenes. However, the BJP led coalition government in the state is refusing to hear voices of the people and rather playing cheap political game amidst the situation brought about by Covid pandemic, he added.
