Commission stresses special hospital
IMPHAL, 6th Aug: Manipur State Commission for Women chairperson Dr Binota Meinam has opined that special child delivery hospitals should be established during the pandemic as childbirth could not be postponed. In a release, Binota said that measures for containing COVID-19 have been taken up by government as well as the people since the virus infected the land. Moreover, medical frontline warriors have been fighting tirelessly against the dreaded virus in order to save the lives of people. However, pregnant mothers are the riskiest group during the pandemic, she pointed out. Till date, three pregnant mothers have succumbed as government and private hospitals refuse to deliver the baby, Binota noted and urged the government for establishing fully equipped child delivery hospitals at the earliest.
