IMA appeals for free movement

IMPHAL, 29th Jul: Indian Medical Association (IMA) Manipur State Branch on Wednesday appealed to all concerned to allow free movement of all healthcare providers and ambulances so that they can deliver their services without any hindrance. The association also reiterated the need for cooperation from the public and following simple protective measures such as wearing of masks in public places, physical distancing by keeping at least one metre apart, frequent hand washing, avoiding unnecessary touching of mouth, nose and eyes, covering mouth while coughing/sneezing and avoiding crowded places. Further, it reminded the authority concerned of the need for dedicated COVID-19 hospitals/blocks with separate OT, labor room and diagnostic laboratory.
