Bus services allowed, night curfew remains

IMPHAL, 30th Jun: As the state extended lockdown to contain Covid-19 pandemic till July 15, chief secretary Dr J Suresh Babu has issued new sets of guidelines for the extended lockdown period on Tuesday.
As per the order, there shall be complete lockdown and curfew in all containment zones as notified by the DCs concerned till July 15. There shall be complete curfew in the entire state from 6 pm to 5 am until further orders or till July 15 whichever is earlier. Any exemption is subject to observance of national directives for Covid-19.
Thangal Bazar and Paona Bazar in Imphal shall open as per separate order issued on June 8. The responsibility of maintaining social distancing shall be with the shop keepers. Wholesale markets in Imphal for sale to retail shops as permitted by DCs will be allowed on district wise rotation basis as currently followed. All central and state government offices shall be opened but there shall be total ban on visitors.
All activities related to essential services; health related activities; hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and dispensaries; all chemists, pharmacies and all kinds of medicine shops including Jan Aushadhi Kendras and medical equipment shops; medical laboratories and collection centres; veterinary hospitals, dispensaries, clinics and related pathological laboratories and sale and supply of vaccines will be exempted from the lockdown without restriction of time.
Activities that are allowed throughout the state from 6 am to 5 pm include courier services; private security services; food processing units; MSME related activities in rural areas; mineral water manufacturing and distribution; home delivery of food by restaurants and outlets; RBI and RBI regulated financial market; bank branches and ATMs and business correspondents; LIC and its branches; microfinance institutions approved by competent authority; all Inter district public transport by bus or minibus with 50 per cent seating capacity while maintaining social distancing; distribution of LPG through home delivery; postal services including post office; petrol pumps; home delivery of essential commodities; all locality based retails shops except those in Dharmasala area.
Print and electronic media; telecommunication and internet services; operation of water/sanitation and waste management sectors are also allowed without restriction of time.
Operation of homes for children/disabled/mentally challenged/senior citizen/destitutes/women/widows; observation homes, after care homes and juvenile homes; disbursement of old age pension/widow pension/freedom fighter pensions; operation of Anganwadi centres by distribution of food items and nutrition once in 15 days at the doorsteps of beneficiaries are also exempted from the restrictions.
All goods vehicles are allowed to cross interstate border at Mao, Jiribam and Jessami. All drivers and helpers of trucks who enter the state from outside the state shall mandatorily follow the SOP already notified. Any person visiting their home shall remain under home quarantine as per the advice of health department. Shops for truck repairs and dhabas on highways may open with social distancing. Movement of staff and contractual labour for operation of railways will also be allowed.
As per the order, all other existing restrictions as well as permitted activities will remain same except for those mentioned specifically.
