IMPHAL, 30th Jun: Accompanied by Sagolband AC and Congress MLA RK Imo, chief minister N Biren Singh headed to New Delhi on a chartered flight Tuesday at 2pm.
Before leaving for the national capital, N Biren Singh told media persons at Bir Tikendrajit international airport here that he will meet national leaders and celebrate the success of BJP candidate in the Rajya Sabha election. The chief minister also said that he will meet BJP national president JP Nadda and Home minister Amit Shah to discuss political situation in the state.
When asked about the portfolios to be allotted to NPP ministers, the chief minister replied that he will abide by any decision taken by the central leaders.
A reliable source, however, informed that chief minister N Biren Singh is unlikely to get appointment with national leaders Tuesday itself but will meet them at the earliest and return to the state as soon as possible.
The source also said that the chief minister is being accompanied by four of his personal staff apart from RK Imo.
