Barbers to resume service in 5 days

IMPHAL, 30th Jun: Manipur Barbers' Association has announced that all of its shops would be resuming services within the next five days. In a release, the association said that all the barbershops have remained shut for a long time due to the lockdown over COVID-19. Despite requesting the authorities concerned for providing rice to the association, no help has been provided till date. On top of this, the barbers have been denied their entitled benefits, which were announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, thus leaving them in difficult situations. Although pleas on the same were made to the state chief secretary, deputy labour commissioner and DC, no action has been taken up. As such, the Association has decided to open all shops within the next five days and resume their services, it conveyed.
