Special train from Bengaluru reaches Jiribam

IMPHAL, 28th Jun: A Shramik Special train from Bengaluru ferrying 1258 stranded Manipuris reached Jiribam Railway Station at around 4:50 pm on Sunday.
As soon as the train reached Jiribam, the passengers were provided refreshments with strict adherence to social distancing norms.
After undergoing mandatory procedures and screening at Jiribam Railway Station, all the returnees boarded buses arranged by Transport Department for heading towards their respective districts.
The passengers included 396 from Senapati district; 276 from Ukhrul district; 205 from Churachandpur district; 73 from Tamenglong district; 48 from Bishnupur district; 44 from Imphal East district; 43 from Kangpokpi district; 42 from Imphal West district; 42 from Thoubal district; 37 from Kamjong district; 18 from Kakching district; 12 from Noney district; 12 from Jiribam; 6 from Pherzawl district; 3 from Chandel district and 1 passenger from Tamenglong district.
