DCs asked to release COVID-19 funds

IMPHAL, 29th May: State’s Health and Family Welfare deputy secretary Soiminlian Legen has directed Health Services director to release funds to Deputy Commissioners concerned as fooding charges in quarantine centres.
In an order issued on Friday, Soiminlian Legen instructed the director of Health Services to release the SDRF funds released into the account of Director of Health, Manipur by Relief and Disaster Management Department.
Citing SDRF guidelines and making it clear that the fooding charge fixed by the government for the inmates is Rs 200 per head per day, the deputy secretary instructed the director to give first priority to fooding expenses in Quarantine Centres and release the allocated funds to respective bank accounts of the deputy commissioners concerned.
The district-wise allocation of fund in accordance to the number of inmates include Ukhrul (2260 inmates) Rs 10,82,301; Imphal West (1780) Rs 8,52,432; Churachandpur (1610) Rs 7,71,020; Thoubal (1480) Rs 7,08,763; Senapati (1417) Rs 6,78,593; Imphal East (1410) Rs 6,75,241; Bishnupur (830) Rs 3,97,482; Tamenglong (766) Rs 3,66,833; Kangpokpi (765) Rs 3,66,354; Kakching (614) Rs 2,94,041; Chandel (450) Rs 2,15,502; Kamjong (414) Rs 1,98,262; Noney (325) Rs 1,55,640; Jiribam (210) Rs 1,00,567; Tengnoupal (150) Rs 71,834; and Pherzawl (136) Rs 65,129.
