BJP helps return of stranded labourers to Delhi

IMPHAL, 22nd May: In all, nine stranded labourers from Delhi who came for work but were stuck in the state due to the Covid-19 lockdown were sent to their home state on Friday with the arrangement by BJP Manipur helpline.
They were flagged off from BJP Manipur Office, Nityaipat Chuthek after receiving permit from Home Department for their safe passage. The return of the stranded labourers was arranged by BJP Manipur helpline which also extended monetary aid and relief items to the workers for convenience during their journey.
Speaking in relation with helping the non-locals, BJP Manipur Pradesh treasurer Robin Blackie informed that BJP Helpline has been continuously extending relief aid and provisions to stranded workers facing hardships due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
He also highlighted that aid and assistance are also extended to state natives stranded in several parts of the country with the help of BJP helpline of different states. He revealed that monetary aid of Rs 1000 each were provided to all 9 labourers and also to the 2 drivers of the vehicle in which they will be travelling all the way to Delhi. Drinking water, food items, masks and sanitisers were also provided to the travelling party.
