COVID test machines installed at RIMS

IMPHAL, 14th May: Two new advanced SARS-COV2 testing machine of TrueNat brand have been installed at RIMS Imphal on Thursday which will enhance the testing capability of the VRDL Lab at the medical institute.
One of the devices has been supplied by the central government while the other was purchased by RIMS. The new machines can complete testing within 45 to 60 minutes thereby reducing time taken to complete a test which under the existing system takes 6 hours. The machines were procured to meet high demand of testing due to the evacuation process taken up by the government, according to RIMS authority.
