SP tablets seized from cargo flight
IMPHAL, 9th May: Even as the controversy over the issue of a huge consignment of betel leaves being brought to the state via cargo flights instead of essential items and medical items is still fresh in the mind of the people, five carton boxes containing Spasmo-Proxyvon (SP) tablets were seized at Imphal International Airport from an Indigo Cargo flight.
According to reports, an Indigo cargo flight (6E9137) from Delhi via Kolkata landed at Imphal Airport around 11.20 am Saturday. Amongst the cargo, five carton boxes containing SP Tablets were seized by personnel of airport police station. The number of tablets seized is said to be over one lakh, according to the reports.
In connection with the seizure, a team of Singjamei police station has pulled up one Sagolsem Vikash (33) s/o S Joy of Lamboi khongnangkhong.
