Minister Nemcha gives wake up call to SW officials
DIPR IMPHAL, 6th Dec:
Social welfare and cooperation minister Nemcha Kipgen Wednesday paid a surprise visit at the head office of directorate of social welfare.
During the visit, Nemcha checked and inspected all the rooms of the department and strongly urged the employees to consider the office campus as their own home and maintain cleanliness all around.
As there is a famous saying, “Cleanliness is next to Godliness,” one can efficiently and smoothly complete any task successfully if one works in a clean environment, she told the officials there.
Nemcha also asked them to be punctual as it is the most important virtue to run any organisation effectively.
She appealed to all the employees to work full time during the official working hours every day and extend their duty hours, if and when needed. There should not be any pending tasks, the minister made it clear.
Pointing out that the department is one of the most important government institutions which deals directly with the disadvantaged section of the population - women, children, disabled persons, aged and infirm individuals, Nemcha asked the employees to have a sense of sacrifice from within.
