Mao facility assessed; Min Kayisii distributes rice
SENAPATI, 2nd May: Sensing the hardships and loneliness of being confined to quarantine centre for containing COVID-19 pandemic, members of Northern Maram Students’ & Youth Organisation (NMSYO) reached out to those staying at quarantine centre, JNV, Mao Gate on Saturday.
In a release, organisation publicity secretary Bosco informed that during the visit NMSYO provided home cooked food items including rice, egg, chicken and dal along with packaged water bottles.
According to sources, 18 people including 3 females from different parts of the state are currently staying at the quarantine centre.
Extending gratitude to Mao SDO and Mao Police OC for giving permission for taking care of the quarantined people, Bosco informed that the members took utmost precaution and maintained social distancing while visiting the quarantine centre.
On the other hand, TA & Hills and Fisheries Minister N Kayisii distributed 10 bags of rice to homes for destitute people in Senapati district headquarters on April 30 last.
In a statement, staff and children of Manipur North Eastern Development Association (MANEDA), Compassion Children Ministries (CCM) and Foundation for Maraoni Orphans & Destitute Upliftment (FMODU) appreciated the kind gesture of the minister.
