Doctors honoured for treating Covid-19 patients
IMPHAL, 21st Apr: Lauding the doctors of RIMS and JNIMS for successfully treating the two positive COVID-19 patients, people residing in different villages of Mao area presented gifts to the doctors as token of appreciation.
Representatives of Mao Council, Mao Naga Women Welfare Association, Mao Students Union and PHE minister L Dikho presented the gifts to the doctors through the respective directors of the two medical institutes on Tuesday.
Speaking on the sidelines, minister Dikho pointed out that Mao is an important place for checking COVID-19 and as the place also has a quarantine centre, people always discussed about it minutely.
The gifts were presented to the frontline warriors including doctors, nurse and other staff of RIMS and JNIMS as token of appreciation for successfully treating the two COVID-19 patients.
Both the directors of RIMS and JNIMS appreciated the gifts presented to them by people of Mao.
JNIMS director Dr Th Bhimo said that they have been able to treat the two COVID-19 patients successfully with the grace of God and advised the people to stay safe as the death rate of COVID-19 patient is high in developed countries like USA, Britain, etc.
