No statement sans consent party chief: NPP
IMPHAL, 11th Apr: The state executive committee of National People's Party (NPP), Manipur in its meeting held at the party’s office here on Saturday has resolved that no members of the party can release any press statement without approval of the party president. A statement issued by NPP state president Thangminlien Kipgen on Saturday said, “No press statement has been released by the party on any issues through print and electronic media recently. The committee has also decided that no member of the party can release any press statement on any issues without the knowledge/approval of the party president. If anyone is found violating; appropriate action will be initiated as per constitution of the party.” The committee also discussed the COVID-19 pandemic minutely and appreciated the initiative taken by the chief minister. It also extended gratitude to all the NPP ministers, party workers in particular and all the ministers of the state in general. The meet also appealed all to remain indoors.
