Sitting of HC and DCs suspended till April 14
IMPHAL, March 30: In view of the absolute lockdown imposed by the Central government, the High Court of Manipur has suspended normal sittings of the High Court as well as in District Courts till April 14.
This was announced through a notification issued by Registrar (Judicial) of the Manipur High Court on Monday.
However, it clarified that in case of matter of extreme urgency, division bench and single bench will be constituted on appropriate request by counsel or party as per direction of the available senior most judges.
The Registrar notified that a roster of judicial officers would be prepared of the district and session judges for dealing with remand matters, bail and urgent civil and criminal matters.
Further, all necessary directions would be issued and uploaded on the website by concerned district and session judges, the notice added.
