MPCC suggests stricter policies to combat COVID-19

Imphal, March 30: Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) lauded the initiative taken up by the state Government to contain the spread of coronavirus and COVID-19 pandemic and also made recommendations of several policies to aid in the effectiveness of the measures taken up by the Government. 

In a letter to CM, MPCC president M Okendro made a number of recommendations to make the fight against Coronavirus and COVID-19 pandemic effective.

He suggested launch of a dedicated web portal for COVID-19 to provide information to the public regarding the outbreak in the state and also to provide information regarding facilities being offered by the Government such as PPEs, ventilators, ICUs, hospitals, Isolation and quarantine facilities and relief provisions. Okendro also urged to utilise the services of ASHA workers in the safety measures taken up by the state Government given their experience and ability to access every corner of the state.

Furthermore, he appealed for transparency in the distribution of relief materials and also to make improvements of safety protocols for those who are in the frontline of the fight against the contagious virus.
