Ccpur ADC for constant and consistent flow of basic needs, amenities
Ccpur, Mar 30: Taking into account gravity of the prevailing situation and inconveniences faced by the denizens of Churachandpur district in buying essential goods, the Churachandpur ADC has decided to ensure constant and consistent flow of basic needs and amenities in the district.
In this regard, ADC chairman T Paukhanlian convened a meeting with civil society organisation, leaders of CSOs and students’ unions of the district at the ADC, Churachandpur office on Monday.
The meeting was attended by all 26 ADC members besides village authorities to deliberate on measures to ensure availability of essential commodities to the denizens.
During the meeting issues related to opening of shops were discussed in detail as local leaders highlighted the need to collectively tackle COVID-19 as well as to ensure that no one suffers due to the lockdown.
Based on the suggestions, opening of shops with strict compliance on the social distancing guidelines would be allowed, the meeting resolved and emphasised that only one member of a family should be allowed to buy the essential commodities.
The ADC also pledged to keep in touch with the district administration regarding availability of essential goods to public while taking up all preventive measures to combat the pandemic Coronavirus.
