DC Tamenglong reaches out to churches

Imphal, Mar 29: Tamenglong district deputy commissioner Armstrong Pame has urged all pastors and elders of churches in Tamenglong district to form teams of volunteers in the age group of 20-35 years, who are willing to assist the District Task Force in combating the Covid-19 pandemic in the district.
In his appeal to pastors and church elders of the district, the DC stressed that role and contribution of the youth volunteers would be decisive in containing spread of the infectious disease in the state.
Further informing that the District Task Force with the support of central and state governments is doing all it can to stop the spread of coronavirus in the district, Armstrong conveyed that he would be extremely glad in case the Church leaders could provide volunteers who would be ready as and when the district administration needs their assistance.
The number of volunteers along with their details may be forwarded to the DC’s office through his personal assistants name Samuel Gonmei (WhatsApp number 8731993840) and BT Eleazar Kaongam (WhatsApp number 7085607344), the DC added.
