Shops open briefly to relieve Bishnupur denizens

Bishnupur, Mar 27: With many facing shortage of essential items on account of the on-going lockdown and restriction imposed on venturing out of homes, Bishnupur district authorities announced relaxation of the curfew hours on Friday to enable the people purchase food items.

As a part of the government's endeavour to ensure that the lockdown imposed to contain further spread of the deadly coronavirus do not inconvenience the public, Bishnupur district deputy commissioner issued order permitting opening of 53 shops at areas having substantial potential.

Police teams were also stationed at the shops to maintain the social distancing norms laid down the government.
