Govt urges hawkers to continue service 

 IMPHAL, 24th Mar: Pointing out that Home Department has declared print and electronic media operating in the state as an essential service during the period of lockdown which is effective up to March 31, Directorate of Information and Public Relations has appealed to members of Manipur Hawkers’ Association and All Manipur Newspaper Sales & Distributors Association not to stop the good work of distributing newspapers to every household for accurate and factual information. In a release, DIPR said that their service is needed for ensuring free flow of information through print media so as to help in combating the threat of Covid-19 disease as well as the fake and false information being circulated in various forms of social media in the state.
