CCF calls for calm and restraint

CORRESPONDENT
CHANDEL, 16th Oct: Deeply concerned over uneasy development in the state in connection with centenary celebration of Anglo-Kuki War, Chandel based Concerned Citizens’ Forum (CCF) has termed the situation as very unfortunate and appealed to people of Manipur to maintain calm and exercise maximum restraint to avoid any unwanted incident.
CCF also appealed to leaders and organisations of the state to take care of the situation wisely and cautiously so that the hard earned peace and harmony in the state is not disturbed at any cost.
According to a statement of CCF, every citizen of the state must realise that Manipur is home to different communities and all communities must respect sentiments of one another. Manipur had enough of communal politics and tensions at the cost of peace and development and hence every community must learn to adjust and live together in peace, the forum said, while reminding people that disunity, confrontations and hostilities would render us only in wrong light and wrong situation in the larger scheme of politics.
