Non-locals asked to submit details

SENAPATI, 16th Oct: As part of the precautionary measures being taken up in view of alarming influx of immigrants in the district headquarters, the Officer in charge of Senapati Police Station has directed all non-locals/tenants living in the areas under its jurisdiction as businessman, mason, labourer and in different professions to submit their detailed particulars along with two recent passport size photographs to the police station.
An order issued by the OC said that the drive is being taken up under the supervision of the district SP to check influx of illegal immigrants and to control possible crime, habitual offenders and absconding accused persons in the area. The order also asked all landlords/house owners to ensure their tenants to submit the same within October 25, 2019. It also informed all chairmen/secretaries of colonies and villages that fall under the jurisdiction of the police station to aware of the exercise while asking for their cooperation.
