Panel to examine child rights issues on Oct 18

THOUBAL, 15th Oct: A Bench Sitting Camp will be held in Chandel district for the first time in the state under the leadership of member of National Commission for Child Rights (NCPRC) Dr Anand from October 18 to help address issues related to child rights violation.
In a press conference held at DC Chandel conference hall on Tuesday ahead of the bench sitting camp, Nodal officer of NCPRC Dr Chinglenkhomba, who is also serving as ADM Chandel, stated the bench sitting camp will take into special consideration of those cases related with Juvenile Justice Act, Right To Education Act and POCSO Act 2012. He appealed to the public to take advantage of the camp which will also be attended by member secretary of National Commission for Women to conduct a survey on the hardships of women resulting from violation of rights and related issues.
The camp to be organised by District Administration of Chandel under the guidance of deputy commissioner Krishna Kumar will be participated by officials of several departments including Police, Social Welfare, ZEO, CMO, ICDS, ICPS and other departments related to child welfare and child rights.
