AR conducts lecture on health
IMPHAL, 14th Oct: Chandel Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles organised a lecture on ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan and personal health and hygiene’ for the students of Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Pallel on Monday.
According to a release of PRO IGAR (South), the lecture was conducted to create awareness about water conservation and rain water harvesting to the students, as a part of ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ Phase - II. Students of ARPS, Pallel were provided with information regarding ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ under which they were introduced to the methods of water conservation, rain water harvesting and rejuvenating water bodies. The students were sensitised about their role in protecting environment from degradation and how important they are in the process.
The medical officer of the battalion also conducted a lecture on healthy living and a documentary film on the subject was screened for the students. The aim of the lecture was to motivate the youth to adopt a life style which will keep them healthy and fit for their bright future, it added.
