PFI launches ‘National Health Campaign’
THOUBAL, 13th Oct: Popular Front of India’s (PFI) nationwide movement ‘National Health Campaign’ under the theme ‘Healthy People, Healthy Nation’ was launched in Manipur on Sunday
As a part of the campaign, PFI Manipur State president Moulana Wahidur Rahaman flagged off a marathon from Irong Chesaba Makha Leikai Maibam Palli Makok which culminated at Irong Khunou community hall where the main launch function was held.
The function was attended by Moulana Wahidur Rahaman, PFI state vice president Mufti Arshad Hussain Quasmi, social worker Md Riyajuddin Aribam, SDPI Manipur State president and Irong Chesaba GP former pradhan Md Abdus Salam, Irong Chesaba Development Forum president Md Aurangazeb and Universal Brotherhood Charitable Trust president Zunab Ali as presidium members.
Speaking at the launch function, Mufti Arshad Hussain informed that the organisation initiated the campaign to encourage healthy life style amongst the youth and to avoid usage of intoxicants for the development of the nation.
During the event, a health awareness programme was conducted along with demonstration of Yoga, martial arts and other exercises for healthy living.
The campaign will continue till October 15.
