IMPHAL, 13th Oct: All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation (AMUCO) president Pheiroijam Nando Luwang said that the organisation is putting its efforts to find out the details of the latest round of talks held between Government of India and NSCN-IM.
He was speaking at the closing ceremony of the China Jubilee (21st) foundation day celebration of Manipuri Students’ Federation (MSF) held at Kwakeithel Tiddim Ground here on Sunday.

In several instances, the political issue threatened the integrity and unity of Manipur and AMUCO has been putting its efforts to maintain unity of the state.
Today, there are several speculations like Naga territorial council or pan Naga entity doing the rounds. However, AMUCO will not dwell on such unconfirmed speculations as movement on such speculations could prove otherwise. As such, AMUCO is in the process of getting details of the latest round of talks recently held in the national capital so that it could chalk out its movement, he said.
He also lauded MSF as a potential student body which can steer the student community towards the right direction and take major role in bringing positive changes in the education system as well as the society.
MSF president Ngariyambam Milan said that student community is playing an important role in various social issues of the state. Unfortunately, the government and its security agencies use excessive and violent forces while handling democratic movements of student bodies and CSOs, he lamented while urging the government to be more people friendly and avoid provocative actions in future. He further said that MSF is planning to organise a major academic convention with the objective to bring certain changes in the present education system of the state right from the primary level to the under-graduate level.
