Draft National Education Policy dissected

IMPHAL, 12th Oct: All Manipur Recognised Private Schools’ Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) organised a one-day sensitisation programme on ‘Draft National Education Policy 2019’ at state guesthouse here on Saturday.
Speaking at the occasion, AMRPSWA president L Joy informed that the programme was organised with the objective to sensitise private school authorities in the state on the Draft National Education Policy and the changing scenario of education in the country.
The No School Bag Day policy of the government needs to be deliberated up in depth so as to chalk up varieties of activities, which could be taken up on every Saturday in the schools for better teaching learning outcome, he said and stressed the need for threadbare discussion on various issues faced by the state in adapting to the different regulations and policies updated from time to time, he said.
He urged the gathering to consult different CSOs in the state to identify issues and problems in the functioning of private schools and roles played by them in order to work out certain changes in the policy to accommodate the need of the state.
Retired principal of Manipur College professor L Sadananda moderated the programme during which additional director of school education (valley) Ch Sachi spoke as resource person.
