Landhoni, Romita approach High Court

IMPHAL, 10th Oct: Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School founder cum principal Pheiroijam Landhoni and her daughter Romita, the coordinator of the School, have filed fresh bail applications in the High Court of Manipur.
Landhoni, who has been in judicial remand in connection with the death of student Ningthoujam Babysana, submitted the bail application through her counsel on Thursday, while Romita submitted hers on Wednesday.
Mention may be made here that the Sessions Judge Imphal West dismissed both their applications that were submitted to its Court on October 7.
Meanwhile, the bail hearing of School junior administrator Pheiroijam Robinson would be heard at the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West on Friday.
It may be recalled that five people were arrested in connection with the death of Ningthoujam Babysana on July 12 last. They are Landhoni, Romita, Robinson, head warden Ilen Kamei and warden N Jinti. After their arrest by SIT which was formed to investigate the case, they have been in judicial custody ever since.
