Candidates plea for TET exam centre in Jiribam

CORRESPONDENT
JIRI, 6th Oct: Candidates for the forthcoming state Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) in Jiribam have appealed to state government to allot an examination centre in the district for their convenience to appear in the test.
A joint meeting of the TET candidates was held at Jiribam Higher Secondary School on Sunday. Addressing media persons after the meeting, one of the candidates N Dhamendra said that there are around 200 aspirants who have cleared DElEd course and they would be appearing in the forthcoming state TET to be held in November. As Jiribam is far from Imphal and going to the state capital for the examination would create various problems in terms of accommodation, familiarity with landmarks and location as well as financial matters, meeting resolved to urge the government and Board of Secondary Education Manipur to sanction an examination centre in Jiribam, he said. Around 200 candidates for the forthcoming TET attended the joint meeting.
