Outfit disowns Babysana probe report, claims political hand
IMPHAL, 6th Oct: The armed KCP-People’s War Group (Marxist Centre) has clarified that the outfit has no connection whatsoever with the press statement issued in the name of the outfit by some surrendered militants regarding the death of Babysana.
The outfit's central media coordinator secretary Lenin Meitei, the press statement issued few days back regarding death of Babysana and doctors was not true and was issued in the interest of some politicians who are trying to derail the government.
While warning that stringent punishment will be given to all those involved in using outfit’s name in issuing the press statement, Lenin identified those involved as Lamyanba Khuman, Chingkheinganba alias Soviet and Sanabam Gunajit. He also said that the statement was released from Chothe village in Bishnupur district and some politicians were involved in issuing the statement though the government preferred to remain silent.
While informing the public about the existing top functionaries, the outfit said Baji Macha Mangang is the current chairman of the outfit while Maramba Khuman is general secretary cum finance and Lenin Meitei is media in-charge. It also said that Lanchenba Khuman is the army chief while Langlen Chanu is the women co-ordinator and Yangba and Tenjing are advisors.
