CHRONICLE BUREAU IMPHAL, 10th Oct : The proscribed People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Progressive) celebrated its 41st Raising Day at different places including its CHQ, STF, NCTF, B1, B2, B3 and B4 on October 9.
The celebration at CHQ was attended by chairman L Paliba as chief guest.
In his brief address, Paliba presented facts about the worsening condition of Manipuri society and basic requirements for liberation to achieve its goal, a PREPAK statement issued by its publicity secretary L Sunil informed.
The celebration was also held successfully at Base Area-2 (B2), wherein leaders of 10 revolutionary groups of WESEA attended.
The celebration at B2, which was attended by Red Army’s chief of army staff (CAS) N Rakesh Meetei was made more meaningful by the presence of leaders of NSCN (K), KLO, PDCK, NDFB, ULFA (I), NLTF, RPF/PLA, MPA/UNLF, MYL/KYKL and MFL/KCP, Sunil conveyed.
During his speech at the celebration, general Th Khumchok of NSCN (K) stressed the need for forming a United Front for revolutionary groups operating in WESEA region apart from recalling revolutionary ideals of late 'Baba' Khaplang.
KLO chairman Jibol Singh Koch also highlighted the pains and sufferings of people of WESEA under the suppressive Indian rule and stressed the need for a collective fight against the enemy.
ULFA (I) assistant general secretary also dwelt on worsening socio-economic conditions of people of WESEA and called for a collective fight to regain sovereign status of the region, Sunil said in the statement and thanked revolutionary leaders for attending the celebration.
