Declamation contest held in Chandel

KAKCHING, 30th Sep: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Chandel organised a district level declamation contest on ‘Patriotism and Nation Building’ at DRDA Hall, DC Office Complex Chandel on Monday.
Speaking at the occasion as chief guest, SDPO Chandel Sukumar asserted that every citizen is obliged to contribute in the nation building process and by being patriotic. Like the police personnel who maintain law and order to safeguard the citizens and instil sense of patriotism, citizen should in their own way promote patriotism and help in the nation building, he said.
SEMCO Komlathabi assistant professor Cr William, United College Chandel assistant professor Dominic Bepol and UTDP Chandel supervising officer Ringshu Yuhlung were jury members of the contest participated by 14 candidates. Ngoruh Kenedy of Japhou Youth Club, Avisha Phamsanu Ngoruw Ican of Kapaam Youth Club and Jv Shelngam of Kotal Khuntak Youth Club won the top three positions respectively. ICDS Chandel supervisor Martha Saka also delivered a lecture on Poshan Maah. Altogether 180 youths from 30 youth clubs attended the programme during which sports materials were also distributed by the chief guest.
