For the first time, state government celebrated Irabot Day at Irabot Square at Lilashing Khongnangkhong with chief minister N Biren Singh as chief guest.

According to Biren, facing the just unveiled Irabot’s statue towards the location of Manipur Legislative Assembly has many reasons. This was done after minute discussion with experts so that those who came out to serve people could understand Irabot’s thought when they got elected as public leader, he said adding that peace would return to the state when politicians begin to work towards realising Irabot’s dream.
Irabot Day is being celebrated widely in the state today but none follows the visionary leader’s thought, he said and asked if any farmer, officer, teacher and media are following Irabot’s ideology nowadays.
