Medical, scheme enrolment camp conducted
TAMENGLONG, 29th Sep: As part of the month long observance of Ayushman Bharat Pakhwada & Rashtriya Poshan Maah, a free medical camp cum enrolment for PMJAY and CMHT cards was conducted on Saturday at Oinamlong Primary Health Centre under Tousem sub-division of Tamenglong district. The medical camp extended health check-up services and screening facilities of various health issues ranging from malaria and cardiovascular diseases to anaemia.
About 250 persons who attended the camp, 64 people from Tousem and adjoining areas who were enrolled for availing benefits under the PMJAY and CMHT, as well as 44 others who were handed over PMJAY health cards on the spot were also briefed by the medical professionals on government-initiated programmes related to screening and treatment of Leprosy under NLEP, detection of Malaria under NVBDCP, TB case under RNTCP, etc.
Moreover, laboratory investigations, ultrasound facility and medicines were also made available to the attendees during the camp which was conducted under the supervision of six doctors and support staff including nurses, lab technicians, para-medical staff, ASHAs, ASHA facilitators of Tamenglong District Hospital and staff of Oinamlong PHC. The said camp was conducted under the initiative of Tamenglong chief medical officer Dr Chambo Gonmei while doctors present at the camp included Dr Guidiathiu Kahmei, Dr Meghanath Angom, Dr Dilimpou Pamei, Dr Nathanael Daimai, Dr Gaiduanreiliu and Dr Convin Gangmei.
