Talk to resolve 'crisis' in state today
IMPHAL, 28th Sep: BJP national president Amit Shah would be meeting chief minister N Biren, works minister Th Biswajit and BJP Manipur Pradesh president K Bhabananda separately on Sunday to discuss and try to bring an amicable solution to the political crisis within the BJP government in the state.
CM Biren left for the national capital on Saturday on the invitation of the national president while Biswajit and Bhabananda are already in New Delhi since Friday evening.
Mention may be made here that some dissident MLAs of BJP are still camping in the national capital. Some of them even met NEDA convener Himanta Biswa in Guwahati lobbying for his support in replacing chief minister N Biren. BJP secretaries Ram Madhav and Ajay Jamwal had also met almost all MLAs of the BJP led government in the state in the past. The party also entrusted Bhupender Yadav as the observer to explore ways to resolve the matter.
The national leaders had also met key leaders of the BJP government as well as NPF ministers & MLAs in the national capital.
Earlier, the dissident MLAs camping in the national capital returned to Imphal and attended the two-day monsoon session of the state assembly following instructions of the national leaders and promptly returned to New Delhi.
Dissident MLAs are also getting ready to discuss the next course of action to realise their objective in case the meetings on Sunday continue to elude solution or the central leaders ignore the demand for sacking Biren from the post of the CM, a source said.
