LPG tankers suspend stir
IMPHAL, 24th Sep : Following an understanding reached during a joint meet with IOC officials and CAF & PD minister, All Manipur Bulk LPG Transporters Association and All Manipur Road Transport Drivers & Motor Workers Union have withdrawn their agitation of ceasing transportation of LPG from outside.
According to a statement issued by All Manipur Bulk LPG Transporters Association, an understanding was reached between agitating LPG tanker drivers and IOC during a joint meet presided by CAF & PD minister Karam Shyam on Monday. Accordingly, LPG tankers will resume service and join convoy from Wednesday onwards.
The Association also extended its sincere gratitude to CAF & PD minister and IOC officials for understanding suffering of LPG tanker drivers. It also thanked TDC president H Ranjit for guiding tanker drivers and owners to the right direction. The LPG transporters have been on strike since September 9 demanding induction of LPG Tankers on wait list of the last tender of Sekmai Bottling Plant.
