According to a source, several BJP MLAs are unhappy with the working style of the incumbent chief minister Biren and therefore they have been holding a series of meetings with central leaders urging for replacement of the CM by another experienced political leader. Moreover, the central leaders concerned have also been apprised about the present status of the BJP-led coalition government under the leadership of CM Biren during the political crusade which has now reached three months. Governor Najma Heptulla reached the national capital on Sunday after she was called in by Union Home Minister Amit Shah following the political crisis besetting the state government over the demand for replacement of the CM. The Governor is likely to brief the Union Minister about the adverse effect of the political crisis on Monday night or on Tuesday. The three dissident MLAs conveyed to the Governor that the movement for the CM’s replacement still stands and they are sticking to their demand, the source said.
