Diagnostic centre assures efficient service

THOUBAL, 21st Sep: Describing as regrettable that some customers raised hue and cry on Friday over some delay in processing results of tests conducted at Krsnaa Diagnostic Centre operating at Thoubàl District Hospital, the centre’s state in-charge Newton Ningombam has assured to initiate relevant measures for better service delivery to the public.
Speaking to newspersons on Saturday with reference to Friday’s incident wherein some customers alleged that the centre’s service and attitude of its staff are not satisfactory, Newton explained that in specific cases samples recommended for testing by the doctors are referred to laboratories located in Imphal due to lack of requisite equipment at the Thoubal centre.
While stating that the said samples have to be despatched for tests to the state capital in public interest, he said that Friday’s incident could have been averted had copies of the sample results sent in the custody of a Tata Magic operator promptly handed over to Krsnaa centre. Observing that the Tata Magic operator might be naïve about importance of the results and did not delivered the same promptly as advised by the pathology doctor in-charge, Newton said that the centre’s staff launched frantic search for the passenger carrier after it came to light that the despatched parcel was not received as per the schedule.
Further assuring that all possible measures would be taken up to ensure efficient delivery of service, he also urged for public cooperation in enabling the centre to live up to the people’s expectation.
