ADC-SH donates for waiting shed of district hospital

KPI, 18th Sep: ADC Sadar Hills donated money for construction of a waiting shed at the In-Patient Department of District Hospital, Kangpokpi on Tuesday in connection with the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The assistance was also a support of the tireless efforts of the health workers towards public services despite limitations and challenges as well as an exhibition of appreciation towards the district health sector for maintaining the top position with regards to best performing CHCs and PHCs in the entire hill districts and overall top 5th position in the state.
The birthday gift was announced by ADC Sadar Hills chairman Haokholal Hangshing during his visit to the hospital in connection with Modi’s birthday celebration under Seva Saptah campaign along with BJP Sadar Hills and Mandal leaders.
ADC Sadar Hills also donated one solar street lamp and two giant dustbins to the hospital while some councillors, who accompanied the chairman, assured to look into the challenges the hospital is facing.
The ADC team also met the CMO, medical superintendent of the hospital and other MOs and staff, and lauded the recent achievement of the hospital and PHCs under its jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, BJP Sadar Hills continued its social welfare services as part of Seva Saptah campaign on Wednesday by visiting various orphanages in the district and distributing fruits, sweets and other items.
The BJP team led by district ST Morcha president Tonglen Khongsai and comprising Mandal president Tingnei Lhouvum, district co-convener Sagar Gewali, ADC Sadar Hills member Milan Pradhan and Seilen Lhoujem also visited Agape Children Home Kangpokpi and Grace Home Kalapahar.
Local MDC Milan Pradhan assured of donating one bag of rice every month to Grace Home while other members and BJP leaders pledged to look into their grievances as well.
