BDHA stroll, PHAM beat YCCIC in President's Cup hockey

CHRONICLE BUREAU IMPHAL, 22nd Sep: BDHA had an easy day while PHAM held on to register a 2-1 win over YCCIC in the 1st President’s Cup Hockey Championship for U14 boys and girls on Friday.

 

The girls’ team of PHAM rode on Kh Shileima’s double to fend off YCCIC’s challenge.

Shileima scored the opener in the 9th minute and put her side further ahead with a 20th-minute strike as Reena Koijam pulled one back for YCCIC in the 21st minute in a losing cause.

The boys’ competition, on the other hand, saw BDHA produce a 5-0 hammering of THAI.

Th Bikramjit and W Kartik scored a pair of goals each and Th Abungo added a goal in their emphatic victory.

Kartik opened the scoring in the 10th minute before the scoring changed hands with Bikramjit getting their second goal in the 19th and Abungo claiming their third a minute later.

Then both Kartik (30th) and Bikramjit (44th) scored again and rounded off the game.
