Water level of major rising
IMPHAL, 11th Jul: Even though seasonal rainfall remains scarce in most parts of the state, water levels of major rivers of the state like Imphal and Nambul River are said to be rising. As per report from Indian Council of Agricultural Research, the state recorded 12.6 mm rainfall on Wednesday and 24.3 mm on Thursday. The rise in water level of the two rivers is due to high rainfall at their sources in Senapati district. Meanwhile, source from water resources department said that water level of major rivers of the state is rising but have not reached danger level. However, it could reach warning level if there is high intensity rainfall overnight, the source added.
