FORCE, REYS script wins in Heibok T-20

IMPHAL, 16th Feb: FORCE outdid SSU by six wickets as REYS secured a convincing 45-run win over MVCA in Saturday’s action of the 2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament.
FORCE restricted SSU to 96 for 7 and then completed their target in 12 overs with six wickets in hand.
Rabi (19/9 not out) and Takeshwor (18/29) were notable performers for SSU in their innings.
Arsad spearheaded FORCE’s attack as his four-over spell earned him three wickets, with Khurshid and Kasim adding a wicket apiece.
In their chase, Shabauddin (16/18), Jali (14/18) and Kasim (7/8 not out) were key run-getters.
For SSU, Rakeshwor picked up three wickets.
Later in the day, REYS produced an all-round display to beat MVCA by a comfortable margin.
The winning side chose to bat and posted a competitive total of 151 for 5.
The runs were built on a fine performance by Jayenta, who scored 67 off 53, with valuable contributions from Guniram (20/11) and Ajit (20/12 not out).
Then it was up to the bowling department to follow up with a disciplined attack that limited MVCA’s scores to 106 for 9 after the 20th over and helped REYS seal the victory.
In the attack, Jitender Thakur shared wickets between with the former scalping three.
Earlier on Friday, Nanao smashed a blistering 103 off 49 balls to propel SCCC to a massive 253-run win over RRCC.
On Sunday (February 17), Blue Hawk take on SCCC as KIYC clash with ESU.
