Both Digilocker and mParivahan apps have facility to pull out a citizen’s driving license, registration certificate or any other certificate in electronic form and these electronic records are deemed to be legally recognised at par with the original documents as per the provision of the Information Technology Act, 2000, conveyed state Transport director C Arthur Worchuiyo in a notification. Therefore, all driving licenses, registration certificates or any other certificates in electronic form through Digilocker and MParivahan app will be treated at par with the original documents by the enforcing authority.
