As the union government has given approval for setting up two IRB battalion, the recruitment for IRB personnel will be conducted soon, announced Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
He made the announcement during Yuva Shakti Sammelan programme held at City Convention here on Sunday. The programme was organised by BJP Yuva Morcha.
Addressing as chief guest of the event, CM Biren said that as soon as the cabinet assessed the vacant posts of IRB personnel, the recruitment process will begin. In order to make the recruitment transparent, discussion on live telecast of physical fitness test during recruitment will be conducted. He maintained that BJP will convert every assurance into actions and sought support from youths in making the recruitment process transparent.
He called upon the youths of BJP to bring changes in the society by identifying the underdeveloped areas and villages which lack essential facilities like drinking water system so that the government could take up necessary measures to bring positive changes. He also urged them to report on social media about such villages.
Biren further announced that he has given a direction to constitute a committee which will educate locals on how houses and streets are flooded during rainy season and means to minimise damages.
He observed that it is high time to let the local people understand the importance of maintaining drainage system and water ways, while maintaining that the government should not be blamed in this regard.
Highlighting the works taken up by the BJP led coalition government in the last one year and three months, the Chief Minister assured that further welfare and developmental works will be taken up with support from youths so as to make the state exemplary.
BJP Yuva Morcha national president Poonam Mahajan observed that Manipur which is located at the north-eastern most side of the country is becoming one of the most prominent states in every field. Manipuri women are excelling in sports event like boxing and weightlifting and various other fields. This has also made it clear that women of Manipur have been empowered.
She expressed surprise and appreciation on learning that one year and three months old BJP led state government has taken up various works to curb drug menace and fight crimes against women. She urged the state government to provide every possible help to youths of the state so that they could realise their dreams and bring laurels to both the state and nation.
The programme was also attended by Works minister Th Biswajit, Education minister Th Radheshyam, BJP Manipur Pradesh Yuva Morcha president Pukhrambam Somorjit, BJP MLAs and workers.
